During an “enforcement stop” on a big-rig truck, CHP officers determined that the driver of the commercial vehicle was transporting “approximately 20 kilograms of cocaine to Northern California,” according to officials.
According to an arrest report given to KHTS by the State of California’s Department of California Highway patrol, the 40-year-old driver pulled the truck over, and did not attempt to resist arrest or force a pursuit.
Although his name has yet to be released, the driver was arrested on suspicion of transporting narcotics for sale and booked on $500,000 bail.
The suspect was taken into custody at approximately 10:20 p.m. Tuesday night.
