Superintendent Larry King notified parents and students of the reported incident in a district-wide email Friday.

“We began a full investigation immediately and worked in conjunction with the local Sheriff’s,” said the email.

King said the employee in question is “no longer employed with the district,” and the Acton-Agua Dulce District is cooperating with authorities.

“I can assure you that we acted immediately to follow up to remove the employee from school responsibilities and to make decisions as always with the students foremost in mind,” said King.

The district concluded with their investigation and has turned over any pertaining information to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, according to King.

“Whenever allegations come to our attention that are serious in nature, as this one is, we interview all the parties involved and witnesses, in a confidential manner, one-on-one,” he said.

The district has not released the name of the employee or school in the interest of privacy for the victim.
