A traffic collision at McBean and Bridgeport was only the conclusion to a series of hit and runs that involved a driver “pinballing” between cars, trees and fire hydrants, according to officials.

First responders reported to a scene that featured a flooded street, an injured baby and an adult driver, and a pickup truck with a front bumper embedded in a tree and dents decorating the sides of the vehicle.

The child and one adult were then transported to a local hospital after the injured driver crashed into several objects on Mcbean between Bridgeport and Creekside, according to officials.

“The truck was pinballing back and forth crashing into everything in his path,” said Lt. Becerra, of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Station.

No information was available about the condition of the child or the driver Monday afternoon.
