Santa Clarita deputies received a report at approximately 6:05 p.m., regarding a reported bank robbery at the 24900 block of Pico Canyon Road.
The Wescom Credit Union location there was robbed using a similar note to several other recent Santa Clarita bank robberies.
The suspect reportedly walked into a bank, handed the teller a note, and then left in a white small-sized SUV, according to witness reports.

As in several of the other recent bank robberies, no one was hurt in the incident, and based on preliminary information, it appears the customers likely were again unaware of the incident until it was over. However, the scene is part of an active investigation. (Below is an interview with a witness who was in the Chase location in Newhall when it was robbed in June.)

Initial reports indicated Sheriff’s Station officials suspected the robber might have been the same individual responsible for a spree of recent robberies.
A person was initially detained at The Old Road shortly after the robbery; however, deputies said the man was not the suspect, and appeared to be an individual “at the wrong place at the wrong time,” officials said. The man reportedly matched the description of the suspect believed to be responsible for at least four area robberies.
This represents the fifth Santa Clarita bank robbery since June, with the previous four targets including (in order from most recent to oldest): two credit unions, the California Credit Union (Magic Mountain Parkway), and the Logix Credit Union (Bouquet Canyon Road); and two other banks, the Chase and the Wells Fargo banks on Lyons Avenue in Newhall.
