The man found dead in a car in Canyon Country Friday evening has been identified, according to officials.

Miguel Pena, 31, of Canyon Country, was found unresponsive in his car near the intersection of Grandifloras Road and Canyon Rim Place in Canyon Country at about 2:20 p.m. Friday, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
Pena was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Homicide detectives suspect the death is a suicide by self-asphyxiation, according to officials.
Homicide detectives were en route to the scene as of 5:44 p.m., said Sheriff’s Station officials.
