As deputies arrived at the 18000 block of Wellhaven Street in Canyon Country around 9:15 a.m., they set up a perimeter around a suburban home to confront the potentially armed man.
But according to deputies on scene, once the individual had been detained, it was determined to have been a “mental health issue,” and that there was no weapon.
One person was detained and placed in the back of a patrol vehicle as deputies swept the house searching for other possible threats.
Deputies cleared the scene at approximately 10 a.m. Monday.
No information has been released about the man, who has not been formally charged as of 10:15 a.m.
