Investigators arrested 23-year-old Damineh Sohrabi and 31-year-old Gurion Jones, both from Alameda, on Oct. 5.

The pair allegedly robbed a business in the 31550 block of Castaic Road in Castaic, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.

“A man and woman were reportedly in an argument with employees over wanting their money back,” said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “After making threatening comments, one of the suspects allegedly reached over the counter, opened the cash register and took money out.”

By the time deputies arrived on scene, the couple had left the location and took off in their vehicle.

Deputies were able to obtain a vehicle description and license plate number which was shared with other law enforcement agency partners, Miller said.

As a result of sharing the vehicle description and plate number, officers with the Oakland Police Department spotted the vehicle, detained the occupants and notified the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

On Wednesday, detectives with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station drove to the Alameda County Jail and picked up the alleged robbers.

“You can run, but you can’t hide. Because we will find you, even if it means we have to drive up to Oakland to pick you up,” Sheriff’s officials said in a social media post.

The couple remain in the custody of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Saturday. No information on bail was immediately released by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
