David Michael Ferris, 59 of Burbank, was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at a woman’s home on the 26700 block of Iron Canyon Road.
Homicide Bureau detectives who were called to the scene to investigate believe Ferris broke into the home, lit candles and left pictures of himself, and then committed suicide.
The coroner determined the cause of death as a self-inflicted gunshot wound from a shotgun.
Shotgun shells were also found inside the home.
Upon returning home from a vacation, the homeowner noticed someone had been in her home.
The homeowner then left and called 911, according to initial reports. Deputies established a containment of the area to search for a possible suspect, he said.
After deputies began their investigation, a dead body was later discovered at the scene, officials said.
The homeowner was uninjured. Sheriff’s Homicide officials were not available to release any information about the relationship between the person who reportedly committed suicide and the homeowner.
Homicide detectives were contacted around 11 p.m., and the coroner confirmed the preliminary indications of a suicide.

This wasn’t a burglary, he had been waiting for us to get back since the previous Friday and was waiting in the house with a shotgun, I called the police and got us away from the house. This is a brilliant story and can’t understand why there’s been such a cover up by the press. What happened before and after the event is an amazing story.
Why is this being covered up, is it because the police were at the same house seven and a half years ago when her ex husband was arrested for child pornography?
This is davids son, please contact me, my family has a lot of questions about what happened 252 305 3731 thank you
