The case surrounding the Southern California Gas Company’s alleged criminal involvement with the leak has been rescheduled for Sept. 13 at the Santa Clarita Courthouse, according to an official from the District Attorney’s Office.

The Gas Company pleaded not guilty in February after being charged with three counts of failing to report the hazardous materials and one count of discharging air contaminants.

SoCal Gas could face a fine of up to $25,000 per day, for the alleged failure of its officials to notify the California Office of Emergency Services. A $1,000-a-day fine could also be added for alleged air pollution violations.
