The case, prosecuted by district attorney Thomas Trainor, will continue with a preliminary hearing on October 13.

Homicide officials believe that Nicholas Colletta, 20, and Jaqueline Arreola, 24, both of Santa Clarita, are involved in Solis’ death.

Solis was at Begonias Lane Park shortly before 5 a.m. on July 11, when witnesses reported hearing multiple gunshots.

When deputies arrived, they discovered Solis, 25, of Canyon Country, a male Hispanic adult, dead from multiple gunshot wounds near the park restrooms. The victim was declared dead at the scene.

Colletta was charged with premeditated murder, being a convicted felon with three priors in possession of a firearm, carrying a loaded firearm/street gang and unlawful possession of ammunition.

Arreola was arrested as an accessory for the murder of Ivan Solis, for allegedly having information of the crime and deliberately concealing it. She’s also facing a premeditated murder charge in Solis’ death, according to a criminal complaint obtained by KHTS News.

Arreola is in custody at Century Regional Facility in lieu of $2 million bail, while Colletta is in custody at Men’s Central Jail with a $3.1 million bail.
