Monrovia Man Due In Court After Traffic Stop Yielded Pounds Of Methamphetamine

A Monrovia man is due back in court Wednesday after a traffic stop yielded several pounds of methamphetamine, officials said.

Victor Ochoa, 28, is facing one count of transportation of a narcotics for sale.

Ochoa was pulled over for a traffic stop April 29 around 10:10 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records.

Preliminary reports indicate he was tailgating another vehicle when he was pulled over by a patrol deputy from the Sheriff’s Station.

After their subsequent investigation, deputies reportedly found four pounds of methamphetamine in the vehicle Ochoa was driving.

Ochoa was in court for a hearing Monday, and scheduled to be in court later this week for a preliminary hearing, when the evidence is going to be presented against him, and a judge will decide if there’s enough to merit a trial.
