A Santa Clarita man who allegedly broke into several residences and sexually assaulted one woman is expected to continue mental health proceedings on his case until November, according to officials.

Russell Harris, 35, is scheduled to be back in court on Nov. 9 for a “status update on the mental health proceedings,” according to Ricardo Santiago of the LA District Attorney’s Office media.
Harris is suspected of breaking into a woman’s Los Angeles home on Aug. 1, 2016 and sexually touching her before fleeing, officials with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said.
Harris allegedly broke into three other residences the same day, and either broke into or attempted to break into another three residences on Aug. 2, 2016.

Harris was arrested by deputies with the Pasadena Police Department on Aug. 9, 2016 and is being housed at the Inmate Reception Center on Bauchet Street in Los Angeles, according to arrest records
If convicted, Harris faces up to life in state prison.
