Dino Guglielmelli, 52, of Canyon Country, is being held without bail, and the earliest that could change is Dec. 3, said Emily Cole, who’s prosecuting the case for the District Attorney’s Office.A Canyon Country man accused of hiring a hitman to kill his wife

Guglielmelli pleaded not guilty Tuesday at his preliminary arraignment.

“In order for the defense to make another bail review motion, there has to be some sort of a change in circumstance, which there isn’t,” Cole said.

“After the preliminary evidence is heard, the defense can renew the issue of bail,” she added.

At a preliminary hearing, a judge will hear the evidence and determine whether a trial is warranted.

Guglielmelli, 52, of Macmillan Ranch Road, was arrested Oct. 5 after an investigation by the Major Crimes Bureau of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

“He’s charged with attempted murder and solicitation to commit murder,” Cole said.

“I know (Guglielmelli and his wife) are in divorce proceedings, but they’re still technically married,” she said, a fact that was debated in open court.

Detectives with the Major Crimes Bureau in Los Angeles did not return calls seeking comment on the case.

Guglielmelli runs a natural products company focused on alternative medicine. He founded Creation’s Garden in 1993, according to the company’s website.

Creation’s Garden has more than 300 employees, over 165,000 square feet of manufacturing and maintains a state of the art analytical laboratory with experienced biochemists, research developers and microbiologists, the website stated.

Guglielmelli is being held at Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles.
