Death Of Lancaster Man Investigated By Homicide Detectives

Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department responded yesterday to the death of an adult male in West Lancaster.

The investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the death of the man, who detectives say was killed on Saturday, Feb. 6, 2016 at approximately 10:48 a.m.

Detectives have learned that the suspect and the victim were involved in a mutual physical altercation.  

The victim sustained unknown trauma to the body and was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries.

The cause of death will be determined by the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.
