Deputies Check On Running Car, Make Two Meth-Related Arrests

Deputies making a check on a running car in a Canyon Country parking lot arrested two women after finding a meth pipe on the floorboard of their car Monday.

Deputies were patrolling near the 26400 block of Carl Boyer Drive when they noticed a car parked in a different area than most, according to a facebook post by the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The car’s engine was running and it was parked a ways off from other vehicles in the parking lot.

The deputies approached, attempting to determine if there was a problem, and made contact with the two women sitting in the car. While speaking with them, one of the deputies reportedly noticed a meth pipe on the floorboard of the car.

One of the women, the 35-year-old passenger, had two outstanding warrants. One of those warrants was in the amount of $50,000 for petty theft.

The driver, a 26-year-old woman, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

Both women were arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station for booking.
