Two people are in custody after they were accused of swapping license plates from their car with another in the Walmart parking lot at 27931 Kelly Johnson Pkwy in Valencia Monday morning, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station officials.

A man was arrested Thursday night after deputies allegedly discovered he was carrying counterfeit money, a butterfly knife and prescription narcotics without a prescription.

Deputies patrolling in the 18500 block of Soledad Canyon Rd. initially approached Abisai Morales, 26, of Canyon Country, because he showed signs of being under the influence while riding a bicycle.

When they began speaking with Morales, they discovered he was under the influence of a controlled substance. The deputies found counterfeit currency, a butterfly knife and  of prescription narcotics that Morales did not have a prescription for.

He was transported and booked at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Bail was set at $20,000 for Morales. Public records did not give a date for his arraignment hearing.
