Deputies suspect both robberies were committed by the same two suspects, one who reportedly had a knife, and the other brandished a silver revolver.

Witnesses described two masked men wearing dark clothing at both crime scenes, which were less than a mile away from each other, according to Sheriff’s Department officials.

Lt. Charles Norris confirmed the first robbery was reported to deputies around 8:30 p.m., on the 17000 block of Sierra Highway.

The second robbery was reported about 40 minutes later, near Oak Canyon Road, in Canyon Country.

In the first robbery, the victim reported he was pushed to the ground and held there at gunpoint while he was robbed of several thousand dollars.

The second victim was walking home when two suspects approached him and stole a cellphone at gunpoint, according to officials.

Neither victim reported any injuries.

Deputies were still searching the area as of 10:45 p.m., looking for the suspects.

No arrests had been made as of 11 p.m.
