Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies responded to a bank robbery Thursday afternoon, and took the suspect into custody within 10 minutes.

The Logix Credit Union on 27000 block of McBean Parkway was allegedly robbed at about 3 p.m. Thursday, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Station.
“The suspect presented a note demanding money,” said Miller. “The bank teller then contacted the Sheriff’s Station.”
The alleged bank robber fled on foot, but was quickly detained on the corner of McBean Parkway and Magic Mountain Parkway, according to Sheriff’s officials.
The suspect, described as a black 27-year-old male, was taken into custody, said Miller.
Deputies recovered an unknown about of money, according to Sheriff’s officials.
