Deputies Recover Body Found In Saugus

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department recovered a body that was found near the Sierra Pelona Truck Trail in Saugus on Thursday.

The Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) is assisting the Sheriff’s in a body recovery effort near Bouquet Canyon Road.

The victim is believed to be a male adult who committed suicide, according to officials.

“Units on scene have requested a helicopter,” said LACoFD Inspector Gustavo Medina.

A resident in a vehicle on the dirt road came across the body, and reported the finding shortly after 1 p.m., according to Lt. Ignacio Somoano of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

  1. Why even post the article with so little info. I realize you have to contact next of kin before releasing a name. So WAIT. Now I’m worried about all my friends who it might possibly be. What’s the rush to post half the info.
