UPDATE Officials Report Missing Saugus Teen Found, Uninjured

The search for a teen who was reported missing has been called off, officials said. The boy made contacts with his parents and was not injured, according to officials.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies were searching for a 16-year-old Saugus boy after he was reported missing Thursday night.

Deputies began a search around the 30000 block of Bouquet Canyon Road, according to Lt. Aguilera of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“We were searching last night, conducting an extensive search to try and locate him,” Aguilera said, adding deputies were joined by detectives and search dogs.

The child’s parents were apparently out of town, and received notification last night. The circumstances around his disappearance were not immediately available from officials.

Detectives from the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the  16-year-old. He was last seen on November 10, 2016 at approximately 7:00 p.m. in the Bouquet Canyon Road /Plum Canyon Road area of Saugus.
