Deputies were dispatched to the Arco Gas Station located at 24020 Newhall Ave. at approximately 5 p.m. Thursday to a report of a car-to-car shooting, said Sgt. Shreves with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

“We had drivers pass by on a busy street that saw the shooting and called 911,” Shreves said. “When we got to the scene we found shell casings (but no car).”

The SCV Sheriff’s Station received a second call about two Hispanic men patching up bullet holes in a car, Shreves said.

Once at the scene, deputies located what appeared to be the victim’s car, a white Lexus, and took it into custody, said Shreves.

The two possible victims are described as being Hispanic men with possible gang affiliations, said Shreves.

Deputies are searching for both parties involved in the alleged shooting, Shreves said.

No victims have been found at any local hospitals, according to Shreves.

The SCV Sheriff’s Station is not certain that the shooting is gang-related, said Shreves.
