The person of interest has been canvassing local residential neighborhoods in recent weeks, claiming that she is collecting donations for Children’s Hospital in order to purchase books, according to a Sheriff’s Station press release.
It has been determined that the business name on the receipts she issued for cash donations does not appear to be connected to a legitimate charity.
Local detectives would like to locate “Sanchez” for questioning to determine whether her collections are legitimate.
She was described by one victim as having a speech impediment.
Anyone with information about these incidents or this person of interest can contact Detective Sgt. J. Anderson at 661-55-1121 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Submit anonymous tips to LA Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
