Do you know this guy? Then Sheriff’s Station officials are asking you to give them a call.
Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies are looking for a suspect caught on camera in a felony vandalism case at Peachland Condos.
Management staff for Peachland Condos on the 25000 block of Peachland Avenue recently installed a new camera security system a week ago, said Ruben Vigil, president of Anchor Management Services, which oversees the property.
The vandalism occurred at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the camera’s time stamp.
The suspect is clearly seen walking up to the camera — which is when the suspect’s picture was taken — shimmying up a post and then smashing the camera system with bat, Vigil said.
“He had no shame,” Vigil said, “he looked up at the camera, climbed up on the car port and started whacking at the camera.”
After speaking with staff, Vigil said he doesn’t think the suspect is a resident.
The camera sustained several blows before the picture went black.
The camera system is valued at over several hundred dollars, making it a felony charge, officials said.
Any one with information about the suspect’s identity is asked to call the Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
