Deputies Still Searching For Man After Armed Robbery At Popeyes

Deputies are still on the lookout for a man who robbed a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant in Newhall saturday evening.

The man walked into the restaurant, located on Lyons Ave., shortly before 7 p.m. and demanded money from a cashier, brandishing a handgun, said Sgt. Brian Hudson with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Nobody was injured in the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white man in his 40s.

The suspect fled on foot with an unknown amount of cash. Detectives with the SCV Sheriff’s Station are still investigating the incident.
