Several bags of golf clubs were stolen Sunday afternoon from a Dick’s Sporting Goods store, according to law enforcement officials, and a suspect is still on the loose.

“some golf clubs were stolen,” said Lt. Byron Wainie, who confirmed that the incident was being investigated as “a grand theft.”

Only one suspect is being sought at this time, he said.

A preliminary description of the suspect is a black male driving a silver Nissan.

The theft happened at about 1 p.m., according to Wainie, adding that up to three bags filled with golf clubs were stolen.

“it’s still under investigation,” he said.
