Late Tuesday night, an alleged gunman opened fire on a vehicle traveling on the 14 freeway which was flying the Armenian flag. The flag was displayed to recognize the anniversary of the Armenian genocide, according to the driver, Harry Nalbandyan.

Nalbandyan said he and his sister were on their way home from an uncle’s birthday party at about 11:30 p.m. when he noticed someone swerving near him as they drove south on the 14 Freeway, near Crown Valley Parkway.

According to a report from CBS, Nalbandyan was not struck by any bullets directly, but was hit in the shoulder and neck by glass and debris from his shattered windows.

In addition to Nalbandyan being hurt, his sister, Christina Nalbandyan, 17, was hit by the flying glass while she sat in the passenger seat.

“The bullet literally flew right over here, and out there, and my window crack has a cross on it,” Christina told CBS. “If I’d been up, the bullet would have totally went through my head.”

The driver was last seen on Crown Valley Rd. east of Acton.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.

  1. What was the make and model of the vehicle?

  2. Why hasn’t the shooter been arrested ?????

  3. Maybe because the police don’t know who the shooter is Rayna……. They more time for the shooters identity to show up in their crystal ball.
