Chad O’Melia, 26, was found dead at a Thousand Oaks home home with “multiple wounds,” according to the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

On May 28 at about 1:15 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the zero block of Meagan Place. Once on scene, deputies found O’Melia dead, according to a sheriff’s report.

“O’Melia had multiple wounds to his body,” said sheriff’s officials. “The manner and cause of death will be determined by the Medical Examiner’s Office.”

Inside the home, deputies found a woman with significant injuries that required immediate medical attention, according to officials.

“The female was transported to a local hospital for treatment and she is currently in stable condition,” officials said.

The investigation is ongoing; however investigators are not looking for any outstanding suspects.
