Homicide detectives are investigating a dead body found in Canyon Country, officials said Monday.

Detectives were called to the 14800 block of Narcissus Crest in Canyon Country at approximately 8:40 p.m., according to Deputy Barraza of the Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies received the initial call of a family disturbance inside a home at 6:50 p.m., according to Sheriff’s Department officials.

“We have a person detained who believe to be somehow related to the victim, and that person is detained at the station,” said Detective Victor Lewandowski of the Homicide Bureau. “We have investigators who will be speaking with him to determine what took place.”

The victim was declared dead at the scene.

The victim, who was described as an older male, and the suspect, who is suspected to be related to the victim, both lived at the address, according to deputies.

The dead body was reportedly an adult male, but no other information, including the circumstances of the death or the victim’s ID, was available at this time.
