One person was pronounced dead after a car fire early Friday morning on Big Tujunga Canyon Road, according to officials

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are responded to Mile Marker 4.88, Big Tujunga Canyon Road — approximately seven miles from the Sand Canyon and Placerita Canyon Rd. intersection — to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of an unidentified male.
Homicide detectives have learned that Crescenta Valley Station deputies responded to a “car fire” call at the location. Upon deputies arriving, the deputies located a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel. Once the vehicle fire was extinguished, a deceased male was located inside. Based on physical evidence found at the location, Homicide Detectives believe the victim was murdered.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, said Inspector Randal Wright, of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information available at this time.
