The man was reported several times throughout the day because he was loitering near the back of the Chase Bank on The Old Road, officials said.

“He decided he didn’t want to talk to our deputies,” said Lt. Leo Bauer with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, adding that the discussion turned into “a little altercation.”

No deputy was injured in the fight, Bauer said.

“Everybody seems to be okay,” he said. A KHTS reporter on scene confirmed that although an ambulance was called to the location, nobody was transported.

The man was arrested, but it is unclear exactly what he will be charged with, Bauer said.

  1. Maybe start with loitering and assault & battery on a Peace Officer? Probably would have been easier had he just spoke with the deputies, answered a few questions and maybe he could have just walked away.
