At some point, an argument broke out between the two men, Corina said during a press conference from the scene. It is unclear why the argument started, but it ended with the man stabbing the victim multiple times in the upper chest, according to Corina.

The victim’s mother came outside to see what the commotion was, and called 911 when she saw her son had been stabbed.

The suspect was arrested on Dewdrop Avenue when deputies arrived. As of 11 a.m., investigators are still searching for the murder weapon.

The identities of the suspect and the victim were not released by Corina during the press conference.

Original Story – The stabbing was reported on the 27400 block of Dewdrop Avenue around 5:40 a.m. When deputies arrived, they discovered a Hispanic man in his 30’s with at least one stab wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

A spokeswoman for the LA County Sheriff’s Department confirmed one suspect, a 36-year-old male, was in custody, but said she was unsure if there were any outstanding suspects.

The victim’s identity was not immediately released.

Officials have not released any additional information Monday morning. The investigation is expected to take several hours.
