At the corner of McBean Parkway and Town Center Drive, Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Deputies confirmed a “use of force” in order to restrain an individual who, witnesses said, was a “possible danger to himself or others.”

Early Saturday afternoon, an individual was forcibly apprehended by police officers, after the male suspect’s failure to comply with deputies, according to witnesses.

“Deputies had to tackle him at the street corner because he was not complying,” said one witness. “He was a possible danger to himself or others.”

Officials on scene confirmed a use of force and that the suspect was taken to the hospital for medical observation. However, further information is not available at this time.

“We are not prepared to release any information at this time, but an individual is receiving medical attention,” said Lt. Bauer., Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “It’s an ongoing investigation at this time.”
