Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Narcotics and Special Enforcement bureaus descended on a home north of Santa Clarita early Tuesday morning to serve a search warrant in a narcotics-related operation.

The operation took place on the 1500 block of Calle Los Elegantes in Green Valley, said Sarah Rodriguez, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The rural area is located north of Santa Clarita, near the intersection of San Francisquito Canyon Road and Spunky Canyon Road.
“It was Narcotics units,” she said. “They were just serving a search warrant.”
Sheriff’s Capt. Holly Francisco, who oversees the department’s Narcotics Bureau, confirmed that nobody was arrested as part of the operation.

Lt. Mike O’Shea, the Narcotics Bureau official who oversaw the operation, said the exact details of what deputies found at the location were still being processed.
The Special Enforcement Bureau SWAT team was called in, he said, because the situation was “high risk.”
“It was a high risk warrant, mainly because of where it’s located. It’s a unique area. We don’t go up there very much,” O’Shea said. “Not a whole lot of resources up there.”
The primary suspect investigators were looking for was not at the home when the warrant was served, O’Shea said. The investigation by the Narcotics Bureau is ongoing.
