Newhall Burglary Prompts One Arrest By Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputies

A Newhall burglary led to a man’s arrest Thursday after a resident reported someone broke into their guest house uninvited, officials said.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to the reported burglary shortly after 1:10 p.m. on the 23000 block of Market Street in Newhall, said Lt. Ignacio Somoano.

“The resident found someone in their guest house who was not invited on the property,” Somoano said. “Deputies responded to the call and arrested one.”

The suspect was described as a 49-year-old male, according to Sheriff’s officials.

No weapons were used in the alleged burglary, Somoano said.
