Newhall Woman Arrested For Chasing Neighbor With Knife

A Newhall woman was arrested after allegedly chasing a neighbor with a knife after an argument.

Deputies arrested 45-year-old Kathleen Shamoo after receiving a call around 12:30 a.m. Sunday about a person with a knife in the 24800 block of Railroad Ave., said Shirley Miller, a spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

“There was a dispute between the victim and the suspect,” Miller said. “They are neighbors. The suspect allegedly produced a knife, pointed it at the victim, and chased him.”

Miller did not give any motive for the attack beyond the dispute.

Deputies booked Shamoo on assault with a deadly weapon charges. Bail was set by Monday at $30,000.

She will return to court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing.

  1. Isn’t this a “whale of a tale” … Shamoo booked for assault…after all Shamoo does have a repeated history of being a killer. LOL Sorry this was too easy.
