  1. So,this is the second shooting ?, At the oak tree gun club?

  2. Is there a follow up article? What is the person’s status?

    Thanks

    • He’s actually my best friend and his brother told me that he’s in the ICU in a coma, they wont give any more details about the case or his condition…

      • They’re probably not releasing a lot, because they initially tried to lie about it and say it was an accident.

Well I don’t know if it’s a good or bad thing that he’s still alive. I guess you’ll know that after you see his condition. Sorry.

  3. one person shot accidentally shot themselves in an accidental self inflicted injury. Redundant much?

  4. A gunshot wound… at a gun range?
You mean to say, guns are dangerous?

  5. How many accidental knife injuries occurred in SCV that required medical assistance? Hum! Guns make the news but not knives.

  6. Why isn’t there more detail? I recently went to Oak Tree and it was my 1st time ever, however I was hesitant, because of the previous shootings, which occurred there. I felt like I got over that hump, but we were supposed to do this weekend, so now again I deep worrisome, because I need details which aren’t released. How can one accidentally shoot themselves? What body location?? Was it a suicide attempt?

  7. According to the Los Angeles Times, this was a suicide attempt. It’s interesting that the Times’ coverage of Santa Clarita give more details than any of our local news sources.

  8. This is a great gun range where I first practiced. They told me to always point the gun away from your body and assume it’s always ready to shoot. Its strange that this person would point the gun at their body. Also, I felt like it took me a good distance to pull the trigger.

    • You don’t “point the gun away from your body” !!
You point the gun away in the safest possible direction which means away from your body and everybody else. NOT JUST YOU. The first lesson of firearm safety is to never point at anyone EVER and never point at yourself.

  9. According to The Signal- A man attempted suicide by
shooting himself in the head and is expected to survive.
