A pursuit of a stolen vehicle Thursday ended with a crash on the 5 Freeway in Castaic.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies attempted to pull over a vehicle near Arrow Point Drive near Parker Road.

“The vehicle was stolen,” said Sgt. Caron of the Santa Clarita Valley Station. “We are still investigating at this time.”

The suspect drove less than a mile crashing on the I-5 Southbound near Parker Road, according to sheriff’s officials.

Medical personnel were dispatched to the crash, but no patients were transported, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

One person was detained at the scene. The identity of the suspect is unknown at this time.
