Ricardo Medina, 36, was involved in an argument with his roommate Joshua Stutter, also 36, around 4 p.m. at a house in the 38000 block of San Francisquito Canyon Road, according to a press release from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The altercation went from verbal to physical when Medina reportedly retreated to his bedroom with his girlfriend.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Sutter followed them and forced the door open.

Medina then picked up a sword he kept next to the bedroom door and stabbed Sutter once in the abdomen.

Medina called 911 and stayed at the home.

Sutter was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Medina stayed at the home and was interviewed by detectives. He was booked at Palmdale Police Station on Sunday and has been charged with murder.

He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that Medina starred in 2002 as the Red Power Ranger in “Power Rangers Wild Force” and also later acted in “Power Rangers Samurai” among multiple other television shows.
