Timothy Woodhead, 26, of Saugus, was founding hiding in some bushes Wednesday morning, near Newhall Ranch Road and Hillsborough Road, in Valencia.

“(Woodhead’s) father reported it last night,” said Lt. Tom Bryski of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “And then we had a call and they saw him, and it happened to be the same guy.”

Deputies received a report Tuesday that Woodhead allegedly assaulted his father at his Santa Clarita home, then left the scene.

Deputies were already on the lookout for Woodhead, who had a no bail warrant out for his arrest, when he was reportedly sighted this morning around 7:35 a.m. in Valencia.

Several callers reportedly spotted a man carrying around bamboo sticks, walking down the street barefoot, and thought the man looked suspicious, Bryski said.

When deputies responded to the call, they realized they had found their suspect.

Woodhead fled when approached by deputies, who quickly established a containment area and then found Woodhead.

He was taken into custody without incident.

He is being held at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
