Here are the crime reports for Canyon Country East, Canyon Country West, Newhall, Saugus and Stevenson Ranch.

Canyon Country East:

An assault with a deadly weapon occurred outside of a business near the 18200 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Canyon Country. Three males got into a physical confrontation. During the incident, one of the suspects brandished a knife. The three suspects were arrested for the indicated charge.

A burglary occurred at a business near the 16600 block Soledad Canyon Road in.Canyon Country. The suspect was observed by a loss prevention agent selecting store items and then exiting the location without making any attempt to pay for the merchandise. The suspect was detained and arrested upon the arrival of deputies.

A burglary occurred near the 16600 block of Soledad Cyn. Rd., Canyon Country. The suspect was observed by a loss prevention agent selecting items and then exiting the location without making any attempt to pay for the store merchandise. When confronted, the suspect ran from the location, dropping his cell phone in the process.  When the suspect returned to recover his cell phone, he was detained and arrested upon the arrival of deputies.

A vehicle burglary occurred near the 28200 block of Sierra Hwy., Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s vehicle and stole his stereo and navigation system (factory equipped) from the center console.

A petty theft occurred at a business near the 19300 block of Golden Valley Rd., Canyon Country. While conducting store video surveillance of the sales floor, the store manager observed the suspect exit the store with unpaid store merchandise. The suspect was detained by store loss prevention and arrested upon the arrival of deputies.

A petty theft occurred near the 28900 block of Silver Saddle Circle, Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s battery from his camping trailer.

A grand theft occurred near Jakes Way / Canyon Park Bl., Canyon Country. Suspect(s) unknown stole items from the victim’s motorcycle parked at the indicated location.

Canyon Country West:

CC West_JonathanWilsonA residential burglary occurred near the 26900 block of Rainbow Glen Drive.  Person(s) unknown pried open the victim’s garage entry door and stole items from within the victim’s vehicle parked within.

A residential burglary occurred near the 26900 block of Flo Lane.  Person(s) unknown pried open the victim’s garage entry door and stole items from within the victim’s vehicle parked within.

A residential burglary occurred near 19700 block of May Way.  Person(s) unknown forced entry into the victim’s rear sliding glass door and stole items from within.

A commercial burglary occurred near the 19600 block of Calla Way.  Person(s) unknown pried a side door to the location and stole items from within.

A grand theft occurred near the intersection of Soledad Canyon Road and Whites Canyon Road.  Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s wallet and cell phone from her backpack while she was riding a bus home from school.

A petty theft occurred near the 26900 block of Flo Lane.  Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s tool bag from the back of his truck.   

Newhall:

On Monday, August 17, 2015, between the hours of 2:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m., an apartment was burglarized in the 23500 block of Newhall Avenue. The resident left the garage door open slightly and the interior door unlocked.  Electronics were stolen.

Also on Monday, August 17, 2015, between 3:45 p.m.- 4:00 p.m., an attached garage was burglarized in the 23500 block of Newhall Avenue.  The resident had left the garage door open, and his vehicle that was inside the garage was unlocked.  A laptop computer and tools were taken. DanialDantice_zone6

On Wednesday, August 19, 2015, between the hours of 7:45 a.m.- 4:45 p.m., an apartment was burglarized in the 24100 block of Evans Avenue.  A rear glass door was shattered to obtain entry and several pieces of jewelry were stolen.

Between the time frame of Sunday, August 2, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., and Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 10:30 p.m., an apartment was burglarized in the 23700 block of Via Canon Drive.  A window was removed to obtain entry and several musical instruments and other personal property were stolen.

On Sunday, August 23, 2015, between the hours of  8:00 a.m.- 10:00 p.m., an apartment was burglarized in the 23600 block of Newhall Avenue. The items taken included a guitar, a laptop computer, cash, and some shoes.  The suspect also damaged several electronic items by pouring water over them.  There was no evidence of how entry was made.

Between Sunday, August 16, 2015 at 10:30 p.m., and Monday, August 17, 2015 at 7:00 a.m., a camper shell on a pick-up truck was burglarized in the 22700 block of 8th Street.  A window on the shell was shattered to get in.  A dark blue mountain bike was taken.

Between Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 9:15 p.m., and Friday, August 21, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., a sports utility truck was burglarized near Dockweiler Drive and Bottletree Lane.  A window was shattered to obtain entry.  The second and third row seats of the vehicle were taken.

There were two adults arrested in the Newhall area last week.  One adult was arrested for a domestic violence charge and the other adult was arrested for public intoxication.

Saugus:

chriscraft_saugusThere was a residential burglary reported near the 30300 block of Quail Trail. An unknown suspect stole multiple firearms from the victim’s home.

There was a theft of vehicle registration tags reported near the 20300 block of Dorothy Street. The victim is unsure of when or where the theft occurred.

A grand theft was reported near the 22200 block of Canones Circle. The suspect stole a blue duffle bag that was on the sidewalk next to her RV. The bag contained an RV stabilizer.

A grand theft auto was reported from Guadilamar Drive. The victims 1999 white Ford F150 was stolen from the location. This vehicle is still outstanding.

Stevenson Ranch:

A warrant arrest was made on the corner of Pico Cyn Rd and The Old Rd. While on patrol, deputies recognized a pedestrian as being a suspect who had a $50,000 warrant. Upon verifying his identity and conducting a search of his backpack subject to arrest, the deputies found a purse containing blank checks, credit cards and mail. The items were previously reported stolen. The suspect also had heroin and syringes. The suspect was arrested for possession of stolen property and possession of a controlled substance.zone3duxbury west ranch

A burglary occurred on the 25300 block of The Old Rd. Person(s) unknown smashed the bedroom window of the location and stole numerous jewelry items totaling $90,700.

A vehicle burglary occurred on the 25300 block of The Old Rd. Person(s) unknown stole the victim’s driver’s license, Social Security card and debit card from the victim’s vehicle. The victim stated person(s) unknown later used her debit card to make purchases. The victim stated her vehicle was locked.

Another vehicle burglary occurred on the 26800 block of The Old Rd. Person(s) unknown smashed the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and stole her wallet containing her driver’s license, Social Security card and debit card.  Person(s) unknown then used her debit card to make several unauthorized purchases.

A U-Haul truck with a trailer that was towing a vehicle that was previously reported stolen in the 24900 block of Pico Cyn Rd was recovered in the downtown Los Angeles area. The vehicles and trailer were not damaged.
