Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station Deputies are responding to possible break-in at the Valencia library — the library that is next door to the Sheriff’s Station.

“We are detaining one person right, but we are still trying to figure out if it is a worker or not,” Sgt. Wayne Waterman, LASD.

Deputies responded to a burglary alarm around 10:45 a.m. at the Valencia library, a facility that is next door, and even shares a parking lot, with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The suspect allegedly smashed the both the initial exterior glass door and the second insularly door inside, according to officials on scene.
