On Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at about 5:00 p.m., a male and a female suspect entered a store in the 19300 block of Golden Valley Highway, Canyon Country.

They proceeded to return a stolen item and received a gift card in exchange. When they left the store with the fraudulently obtained gift card, they were confronted by loss prevention officers. A fight ensued, in which the suspects pushed and punched loss prevention officers.

The male suspect, identified as Jason Remon, fled with the gift card, while the other suspect, Adrienne Ramirez, 38-year-old, resident of Canyon Country, was caught at the location and arrested by deputies.

She was later charged with second degree robbery. Her next court date is August 24, 2015. Jason Remon, a 32-year-old male, wanted for robbery was arrested today, Friday, July 31, 2015, in connection with this case and one that occurred in July.

On Friday, July 17, 2015, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a suspect, later identified through investigation, as Jason Remon, entered a business located in the 27500 block of Sierra Highway, Canyon Country and demanded money at gunpoint.

On Monday, July 27, 2015, about 4:50 p.m., two suspects walked into a business in the 23300 block of Lyons Avenue, Newhall, and then left. Shortly after, they entered the business again and the suspect demanded the cash from the cash drawer in the business. They fled with the money. The suspects were described as two male blacks.

Detectives are investigating the possibility this robbery is related to other robberies.

On Wednesday, July 29, 2015, in the evening, two suspects walked into a business in the 24200 block of Lyons Avenue, Newhall and during what appeared to be a business inquiry, told the clerk to give them all the money in the register. In fear for his/her safety, the clerk gave the suspects money from the register.

Deputies responded to the area and located and arrested David Lewis, male, black 31-year-old resident of Newhall. It was determined there were additional suspects in the crime who are still at large. Lewis was charged with Robbery by the District Attorney’s office.

Detectives are continuing to follow leads and work on identifying the other two suspects, one of whom is described as a male, black in his 30’s, wearing a black shirt, gray sweats and a black baseball hat.

Detectives are actively working all of the cases to determine which robberies are linked to the two different sets of suspects and/or if there are additional suspects.

Jason Remon was arrested soon after his photos were released to the public.
