Deputies arrested Larry Duran, 51, on charges of shooting at an inhabited dwelling and possession of a stolen firearm at the Valencia Travel Village trailer park in Castaic.

“Deputies responded and (the suspect) surrendered to deputies immediately,” said Sgt. Allen of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. “It doesn’t appear that anyone was injured.”

At approximately 1 p.m. on Thursday, deputies responded to a RV Resort in the 27900 block of Henry Mayo Drive, Castaic, regarding a ‘shots fired’ call, according to Sheriff’s officials.

Upon arrival, deputies detained and arrested the suspect, Duran. He had fired at least nine rounds in the direction of other travel trailers, all apparently from inside his own trailer, said officials.

A total of four firearms and shell casings were recovered from the location. One of the firearms was determined to be stolen out of Arizona.

Duran is being held on a $235,000 bail, the suspect is due in court on April 17, according to the Sheriff’s Jailer.
