Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies detained two suspects Tuesday in connection with an assault, robbery and criminal threats reported against different victims during an afternoon crime spree reported in Santa Clarita.

Two men allegedly robbed someone of their cellphone in Valencia, officials said.

The suspects then fled the scene to a Chevron gas station in Newhall, near Lyons Avenue and Wiley Canyon Road, in a black, two-door Dodge Charger where they pointed a gun at a victim.

The suspects then threatened another victim, who filed a report at the Sheriff’s station, officials said.

Deputies caught up with the suspects in the Foster Freeze parking lot off of Soledad Canyon Road in Saugus around 3:15 p.m.

Deputies arrested two suspects in connection with the crimes.

Sheriff’s Station officials did not release any information on the suspect’s names pending further investigation.
