A deputy and a police officer were arrested on domestic violence charges after an apparent physical dispute, according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records.

Kristi and Theresa Nielsen were arrested on separate charges Monday night after an apparent assault between the two.
Kirsti Nielsen, 53, of Saugus, whose occupation is listed as police officer, was arrested at approximately 6:39 p.m. last night, on a charge of bettery against a former spouse. She was booked at the Santa Clarita jail in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Theresa Nielsen, 52, of Saugus, whose occupation is listed as sheriff’s deputy, was arrested shortly thereafter around 7:45 p.m., on a charge of corporal injury on spouse/cohabitant, according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records. Her bail was listed at $50,000.
The two listed the same Santa Clarita address as their residence.
Both are currently at the Santa Clarita jail, according to Sheriff’s Department arrest records as of 9 a.m.
The Sheriff’s Station PIO was not immediately available to answer questions, but more information will be added as it becomes available.
