The string of Santa Clarita pharmacy burglaries began at 12:30 a.m. and went through 4:30 a.m. The heists occurred in Saugus, Valencia, Castaic and Newhall

The burglary spree began at 12:30 a.m. with Saugus Drugs & Hallmark in the 27600 block of Bouquet Canyon Road and then The Druggist, in the 27800 block of Smyth Drive.

The burglars then hit a Walgreens located in the 27900 block of Sloan Canyon Road in Castaic. At around 4:30 a.m., the final burglary occurred at the Newhall Pharmacy located on Main St., the sheriff’s department said.

“It looks like it was pharmaceutical type stuff,” said Sgt. Bringas. “We know it was prescription type meds.”

The suspects stole miscellaneous medications and cigarettes, said Sheriff’s officials.

Through surveillance video footage obtained from one of the businesses that was burglarized, detectives were able to view four male suspects, wearing hoodies and long pants.

At this time, it has not been confirmed whether the same suspects are connected with the other pharmacy burglaries.

Once the detectives have reviewed and compared all four burglaries, to determine if they are connected, they will release more information.

At this time, there is no additional suspect information or photos available, nor is there any vehicle information or videos to be released.

Anybody with information about either incident is encouraged to call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
