The meeting was held on July 15 and designed to provide a venue for loss prevention personnel and store managers from local businesses to share information regarding crime trends and crime prevention in the Santa Clarita Valley. The Business Alliance meetings are held quarterly to offer regularly updated information.

During the July meeting, Detective Jones shared information on counterfeit money, identity theft, embossed fraudulent credit cards and fake identification cards. A PowerPoint presentation was given detailing the information and handouts provided to the attendees. The detectives also discussed the use of social media and how it has helped identify several wanted suspects throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
