Emergency officials responded to a fatal hit-and-run in Santa Clarita Monday night.

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials responded to reports of an auto versus pedestrian collision on Orchard Village Road near Mill Valley Road in Valencia, said Lt. Tom Bryski with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
The report came in around 11:50 p.m. Monday, according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department officials.
The victim is a female in her 60s who was struck by an unknown vehicle in the southbound lanes on Orchard Village Road, Bryski said.

May she rest in peace, but a lesson to us all- Hit and Runs appear to be more prevalent today. More caution needs to be taken by all when crossing or walking along the road. It is all a part of being “Street Smart.”
