Sheriff’s deputies arrested a woman last Sunday, when the suspect allegedly stole clothes from a laundromat in Castaic and wore them in a nearby Starbucks.

A customer had left her clothes unattended at a Castaic laundromat, and when she returned to get her clothes out of the dryer, she noticed 3 pairs of her pants were missing, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

The customer stopped at a nearby Starbucks, and noticed a woman wearing a pair of pants that were exactly like one of her missing pairs, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.

Responding deputies made contact with the woman in question, and found that she had the other two pairs of missing pants in a bag, said Miller.

The owner identified clothing the suspect was wearing as one of the items stolen. The suspect was also in possession of the other stolen items.

Deputies arrested the woman on petty theft charges, according to Sheriff’s officials.
