Cross-Valley Connector Bridge Will Be Wider

Because of overestimating costs of the Golden Valley bridge over Soledad Canyon Road, the bridge will be wider than originally planned….

Initial plans called for a four-lane interchange, with plans to widen it to six lanes in the future.

The winning big was just short of $13 million, according to Robert Newman, Santa Clarita’s director of building and engineering services.  The estimate had previously been $15 million.
